Recently, the Trademark Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration issued an e-filing notice for opposition cases. The full text is as follows:

To improve the electronic level of trademark opposition and promote the green development of trademark cause, the Trademark Office of the China National Intellectual Property Administration will comprehensively implement e-filing of trademark opposition cases. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:

1、 Starting from December 1, 2023, trademark agencies handling opposition cases should, in principle, submit electronic applications through the trademark online service system and no longer submit paper materials.
2、 From the date of issuance of this notice to December 1st, in order to comprehensively enhance the "transition period" for e-filings of trademark opposition cases, trademark agencies shall make various preparations. For agencies that do not have an online service system account for trademarks, please apply for registration as soon as possible.
